Setting up email in
Outlook Express
Step 1: Start Outlook Express.
Step 2: Click on Tools menu item
at top to open menu.
Step 3: Click on Accounts to open
Internet Accounts Dialog box.
Step 4: Make sure that the mail tab is selected
then click on Add button to right and select mail.
Step 5: In the Internet Connection Wizard, enter
the name you wish to display, ex. (John Doe), then click
the next button.
Step 6: Enter your email address, ex. (User@skyhop.com),
click next.
Step 7: Make sure POP3 is selected for incoming
mail server. In the incoming mail field, enter mail.skyhop.com,
in the outgoing mail field, enter mail.skyhop.com.
After these entries are made click next.
Step 8: Enter your Account name, this would be your
email address name without the @skyhop.com. Enter your password
used to get email and make sure the Remember password box is ticked,
Click next.
Step 9: After you have created your account and
clicked finished, you will be back at the Internet Accounts Dialog
box. Make sure your newly created account is Highlighted and
click properties button to the right. From your properties
dialoge window, click on the Servers tab at the top. At the bottom
of the Servers window, check the box for 'My server requires Authentication'.
Click on <Settings> button to the right and make sure the 'Use same settings as my incoming server' is selected. Click 'OK' button at bottom to exit dialog window, click 'Apply' to accept changes, click 'OK' to close Properties dialog window and then click 'Close' to close Internet Accounts
Dialog box.
Step 10: Congratulations you have set up your email
account in Outlook express.
You can now send and receive email with your SkyHop.com email Account.
Setting up email in
Outlook
Step 1: Start Outlook.
Step 2: Click on Tools on menu bar.
Step 3: Click on E-mail Accounts to open
Internet Accounts Dialog box.
Step 4: On the E-mail Accounts Wizard, click on Add a new e-mail account and click Next button.
Step 5: On the Server Type wizard, click on POP3, and click Next button.
Step 6: User Information: Enter your Name and email address, ex. (User@skyhop.com),
click Next.
Step 7: Server Informaiton: In the incoming mail field, enter mail.skyhop.com,
in the outgoing mail field, enter mail.skyhop.com.
Step 8: Logon Information: Enter your Account name, this would be your
email address name without the @skyhop.com. Enter your password
used to get email and make sure the Remember password box is ticked,
Click Next.
Step 9: Click on the More Settings... button then the Outgoing Server tab. Check 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'.
Make sure that radio button is selected for 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'. Click 'OK' button at bottom of window and close Internet E-mail Settings
Dialog box.
Step 10: Click Next then Finish to complete setting up Outlook.
Webmail
Webmail can be accessed from anywhere world wide
by clicking on webmail link on Skyhop.com's website. Simply enter your email account name and password and
you can send and receive emails outside of your Outlook email application or any other email account software application.
